InterPoker was one of the first online poker rooms, and has been in business since 2001. The poker room is owned by OIGEA N.V and is licensed in Malta . The poker caters to all players offering daily freerolls, a great sign up bonus and they are currently featuring a $300,000 WSOP Freeroll. InterPoker provides a full line up of tournaments and in 2006 they were given the “Top Poker Site” and “Best Poker Tournaments” award, presented by Online Gambling Magazine. Other features include a Mac compatible instant play client, Bad Beat Jackpot, Refer-A-Friend, as well as an in-house casino. InterPoker does not accept US players.All new players at InterPoker will receive a 100% match offer up to $100. This bonus is released based on the amount of rake you have contributed at a rate of 5 x the bonus accumulated in rake. This can be a little more difficult for micro limit players trying to clear a large bonus but it's not impossible. Interesting to note, the competition at InterPoker is tighter than other poker rooms even in the low limit tables. This could be due to player's trying to clear the bonuses but you will find the overall average percentage of players seeing a flop is reduced to 40%.
InterPoker supports a decent range of poker variations with Texas Holdem, Omaha , Omaha Hi Lo,, and 7 Card Stud each in their own respective limits. Games can be played in full ring, shorthanded and InterPoker boasts a high number of heads up tables which are fairly active during the day. Each of the games starts at stakes as low as $0.05/$0.10 up to $50/$100. InterPoker is considered to be a medium sized room by today's standards with a player base reaching as high as 3,700 during peak hours. They take a 5% rake from each pot up to a maximum of $3 per hand. They do support a no flop no drop rule, so if the hand is not played out than no rake will be deducted.
Tournaments are one of the biggest features at InterPoker with a $40,000 GP held each Saturday and a full line-up of Sit and Go games. The poker room provides players with top level tournament packages such as this year's 2008 WSOP with InterPoker hosting a $300,000 WSOP Freeroll. To enter simply become a real money player and earn the required MPP's to receive your qualifier ticket. There is a Final held each week and winning your seat can start as low as 10 MPP's. Each of InterPoker's regularly scheduled tournaments are available in Texas Holdem or Omaha and start as low as $2 with re-buys, freezeouts and turbo games all available to choose from.
InterPoker utilizes Cryptologic software and performs well. You will not have any over the top features and components but the program still provides all the necessary functions that players need such as speed and stats. The lobby is user friendly and provides simple navigation with the menu equipped with a game filter and providing statistics. Players will easily find the % of players seeing the flop, hands per hour and average pot size for each of the cash games. Multi-tabling is available and very simple to use with the added “Pro” feature. What this does is allows you to quickly access all game by clicking on your table names located at the top of the screen. When it is your turn to act, the table in question will light up in the tab. InterPoker supports up to four games simultaneously. Other software options include; note taking, hand history, a dealer's voice, and four coloured decks. As of March 1st 2008 Interpoker has changed the rakeback percentage paid to their players. The new percentage is 30%.
