Free Texas Hold Em Poker Training & Strategy Videos

Below you will find a lot of my free Texas Hold'em poker training videos. The videos are a mixture of live games, hand history game reviews, student leakfinder videos and classroom style theory lessons.

My Texas Hold em poker strategy mainly focus on heads up sit and goes ranging from $2 - $50 matches but there are also a small selection of cash games and other formats too. In the Tagpoker forums you will find more heads up SNG, poker strategy videos as well as 6 max cash, multi table tournaments and just more general poker tips from winning poker players.

About 50% of the free Texas Hold em poker strategy videos that I have made are on these pages for you to watch. The other 50% are in the Tagpoker student forum and are still free to watch for forum members. The videos cover everything from how to beat a calling station to really aggressive maniacs.

I have also created a comprehensive heads up poker course which gives complete novice players the tools to start easily making money in this game.

NEW - 6 Max NL200 Cash Game - 25/10/2011

This is my second 6 max cash video that I've made for my poker bankroll challenge. This is a typical example of how other players play poker on this site and will hopefully show you how I am able to build a bankroll so fast.

I really try and focus on how to make reads on the other players at the table such as timing tells, betting patterns and I also talk about note taking to help exploit the players at this level.

In this latest heads up poker video I'm playing in a cash game vs a fairly aggressive and seemingly bluffy player. I'm playing in a $10,000 bankroll challenge for a charity close to my heart.

I'm playing at Betonline poker because the players are the fishiest I have ever seen in my life and so I expect this challenge to be fairly easy as no one on the site really knows how to play poker.

My live 1-1 poker lesson is an hour long so that is why I have decided to break the video down into two parts, to make it easier to watch.

After my students have studied the full heads up material that I provide in my heads up course , I try to challenge their thinking by asking them questions about their play, in the match that they ask me to review with them.

NEW - Texas Hold Em Heads Up SNG Vs An Aggressive Opponent? - 6/09/2011

This is a game review video for a student starting my free heads up SNG course.

In this Texas Hold em poker match my student asked me to help him with a player that he believed was quite aggressive and check raising him a lot. I talk him through a strategy that will help deal with players like this in the future as well as help ti identify what kind of player he is facing.

As many of you know I launched a new coaching plan through William Hill last week and this is one of my first student game reviews. We have already got together in a live 1-1 session over Skype to plug a lot of leaks and I look forward to doing more with him as he gets more games played on the site.

This match is played against a tight aggressive opponent that seems to adjust. I will talk you through how I start to decide his playing style I'll also be talking about 3 bet bluffs, bet sizing, multi barrel bluffs, game flow and dynamics, end game shoving & much more

NEW - Developing Reads and Spotting Tells - Live Game - 18th July 2011

This is a live Texas Hold em heads up SNG where I have tried to focus less on what I'm doing pre flop and more on defining my opponent and looking for tells to help formulate a counter strategy.

I focus mainly on timing tells and bet patterns to help me decide when to bluff, when to pot control and so on. I also share an insight into my note taking for you.

NEW - $15 vs Winning Reg - 5th July 2011

This video is of me playing Texas Hold em against another $15 heads up poker player. The guy is quite tight throughout but seems to get looser and more agro towards the end of the match.

NEW - $15 vs Winning Reg - 4th July 2011

This is a $15, heads up SNG, reg speed game played vs a marginal winning player with a lot of games under his belt. He has a fairly face up Texas Hold'em game which isn't too hard to exploit at these limits.

NEW - $10 Reg Speed vs Loose Player

This $10 reg speed, heads up Texas Hold'em game was played on Full Tilt vs a loose player. In this game I hardly get any hands at all pre flop and so have to focus 100% on my post flop game in order to beat him.

NEW - $5 Reg Speed vs Station Hybrid

This is an odd Texas Hold'em match with regards to classifyig the opponent as the guy starts off looking like a real station but then plays a bit like a TAG when in position but tightens overall up later on.

I talk about what I see and how I plan to adjust and how I try and keep my opponents down when thay are crippled as well as talk about some comment trends when opponents get short.

I do feel that using the replayer enables me to go into more depth with regards to hands, reads, plays and game plans but you have asked for live games so I'm giving them to you. The result is much shorter videos with me trying to cover concepts as fast as I can but I'll still be making some game review vids so that you don't miss out on the indepth lessons.

The match is played against a fairly tight player who has moments of adjusting his play. In this video I focus on what you need to look out for to know when you're opponent is changing his style and what you can do to counter adjust.

This is a heads up Texas Hold'em poker lesson from a game played at the $10 level. In this video I try and give you more of an insight to how I play and think in a live game scenario. I show you how I'm constantly making and adjusting my notes, looking for betting patterns and trying to figure out what means strong and what's weak and then I try and talk you through potential ways that I'm looking to take advantage of the infomation that I gather.

Our opponent is a kind of hybrid player as he's fairly passive pre flop and post flop when he's out of position but seems more bluffy and aggressive, post flop when he's in position.
