Carbon Poker Leakfinder Video

Tagpoker Member FinishEmOff has sent us a video of him playing two tables of no limit texas holdem on Carbon Poker.

In the video we will be concentrating on all of the hands that we think there are valuable lessons to be learnt and as such have edited the video to quickly show all of the hands worth talking about and skipped the parts where nothing that interesting happens.

Points to work on - Part One

  • Blind on blind applying pressure when the small blind limps your big blind.
  • Raising limpers when you have a premium starting hand especially if your are out of position. Playing out of position is bad and you're happy to win the pot there and then or narrow the field down to make the hand easier to play as well as get value for your hand.
  • Points to work on - Part Two

  • Keeping your play standard and continuation betting all dry flops after you raise pre flop.
  • Having a plan for the hand - for example the AJ hand where you raised pre flop and check/called a dry flop. What where you calling for, what was your plan? Always ask yourself questions before you make a play, "why am I betting?" "what do I expect happen if I bet?" "what am I calling to do?" "what is my plan for the hand?"
  • Spotting good spots to bluff (if we ever have to) and realising bad spots to bluff where our opponent just never looks like they'll fold.
  • Points to work on - Part Three

  • Again ramping up the aggression with premium hands pre flop, don't let others limp in and see cheap flops when you have the best hand pre flop - charge them for playing the hand (raising for value).
  • Overview

Push your edges where ever you can. Pre flop if you have a premium holding then you need to take advantage of that and up the aggression. Being aggressive in poker is the way forward as it gives you so many ways to win the hand. By being passive you cut down your options, you let more people in the hand which reduces the odds of you having the best hand after the flop, it also makes it much harder to pick up pots and represent a hand.
